Remote Provisioning Yealink
Table of Contents
There are currently two ways to remote provision Yealinks depending on the scenario.
New Phones
Easy Mode (i.e.: Brand New Yealinks)
- The client provides MAC Addresses.
- Add Phone to the Client Portal with the following:
- auth_user: ndpfeb2021
- auth_pass: 6ihdV8uw8v
- Have the client Factory Reset Phone.
- Press the menu Softkey.
- Go to Settings, navigate to Advanced UI, and input the password (of the old provider) to enter.
- Select Reset to Factory option.
Note: The LCD screen will prompt with: ”Warning, Reset to Factory Setting.” - Press OK to continue (or long-press the "OK" button about 5s in idle status).
Used Phones
Not as Easy Mode (i.e.: Client has phones configured with another existing provider)
- The client provides MAC Addresses and Serial Numbers.
- Provide the MACs AND Serial Numbers to Jonathan Gregoire in a task so he can check in RPS (Yealink equivalent of ZTP).
- If unassigned, go to Easy Mode above.
If assigned to another provider, please see the steps below:
You must ask net2phone Canada to open a ticket
A member of net2phone Canada will open a ticket with https://ticket.yealink.com/ to ask them to remove it from the provider.
Ensure you have Updated field entries.
Auth_user and Auth_pass will get updated periodically (for security purposes). New info can be found in NDP under System > Configuration (look at username and password fields). The most current values should be used when entering the phone into the Client Portal.
- Once removed, add Phone to the Client Portal with the following:
- auth_user: ndpfeb2021
- auth_pass: 6ihdV8uw8v
- Have client Factory Reset Phone.
- Press the Menu Softkey.
- Go to Settings—Advanced UI, and input the password (of old provider) to enter.
- Select Reset to Factory option.
The LCD screen will prompt with: ”Warning, Reset to Factory Setting”. - Press OK to continue (or long-press the "OK" button about 5s in idle status).
