Order the device through a Salesforce Purchase Order, add the MAC addresses to the Client Portal, plug in the base and its handset, and pair any additional handsets to the base station.

Step 1 – Ordering the Device via Salesforce PO

When creating the Purchase Order Detail (POD) for the Cordless Yealink W76P, you first need to create the POD for the Base + Handset using the First Name, Last Name, and extension of the 1st handset.

For any additional handsets, you must create a POD for each extra handset without entering any name/extension. This is done to allow the Fulfilment Team to scan individual Serial Numbers into each POD for Inventory Management.

(e.g.: User 145 for Jonathan Gregoire, 148 for Christie Dugal, and 172 for Azfar Khan [3x handsets under 1x Base] would look like the below)

POD for the First User + Additions

The POD for the first user in the list (145) is the one containing the Base + Handset (with name and extension) and the PODs for the other two users are separate with a quantity of 1x each and no name. All units are Purchased only – No Rentals.

Step 2 – Adding the MACs to the Client Portal

Once you receive the Endpoints Email and Spreadsheet containing your MAC Address(es), go to your domain in Client Portal, click on the “Phones” icon, then the “Import” button.

Then click Download Template and fill in the spreadsheet accordingly.

Using the User example in Step 1, the spreadsheet would appear as per below:

Upload the completed spreadsheet to the “Import Phones” window in the Client Portal (screenshot above this one).

NOTE: If your Cordless requires more than 6 lines, the additional sets (Line 7 and 8, if applicable) will need to be added manually after you've uploaded the initial sheet to Client Portal.

Step 3 – Plugging in the Phone

The client plugs the base to an Ethernet drop (and AC if PoE is unavailable). The handset dock (not to be mistaken for the base unit) also needs to be connected to power and the battery pack needs to be clicked into the back of the handset.

Handsets and Bases come Paired

The handset that comes with the base will already be paired with it and should take up to 10 mins to fully configure.

Once the initial handset and base have completed configuration, pushing on the “Line” button at the bottom of the screen should show the extension connected to the handset.

If for whatever reason, the unit does not configure, you can reset the base using the following steps:

  1. Press the OK button in the middle of the handset.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Go down to “8. System Settings” and press OK.
  4. Go down to “Base Reset” and press OK.
  5. Enter default PIN “0000” and press Done.

The base will now reset, please allow up to 10 minutes for the base and initial handset to configure.

Step 4 – Pairing Additional Handsets

  1. Once you turn on an additional handset, you will be prompted to Press OK to register to an existing base or a new base.
  2. Press and hold the “wireless”  button on the base until the handset (phone icon) light on the base starts flashing.
  3. Press OK on the handset
  4. Chose “Register Handset.”
  5. Choose “Base 1.”
  6. The handset will search and the base MAC address will appear on the screen.
  7. Press OK.
  8. The handset will prompt for the PIN which is "0000’."
  9. The handset will then be paired.
