WHEN ONLY A FEW PHONES NEED PAGING

If only a FEW of the phones require the Paging Feature, please follow these below steps:

  1. Navigate to the Phones section of your domain and click the Edit button for the Yealink phone you want to add the paging feature on.
  2. Click the Advanced sub-tab and enter the override above into the "Overrides" section.
  3. Click Save and repeat for each phone that requires Paging.

WHEN ALL PHONES NEED PAGING

If ALL of the phones require the Paging Feature, please follow the steps below.

  1. Log into SONAR, and click on the “Domains” tab within the Reseller view.
  2. Search for the domain and hit enter.
  3. Click the Edit button (pictured below).
  4. Select the Defaults sub-tab.
  5. Enter overrides (see above, including all lines listed) in the “Device Defaults” section.
  6. Click Save.

Once these steps have been completed, send an email to the client containing the below

Hello [Client],

The Paging Feature has been enabled on your phones.

For the feature to become active, you will need to reboot all of the phones. Once rebooted, you will notice a new soft-key called "Paging."

To use the paging service, press the Paging button, choose one of the following groups, and press the Page button.

  • Default: will send a page to all phones, not on a call.
  • Recent: will send a page to all phones, not on a call.
  • Priority will barge into an active call at the adjusted volume level over the intercom.
  • The emergency will barge into an active call, over the intercom, at maximum volume.
  • To end, press "End Page," press a line key or pick up the receiver.

And you are done!
